This is one of two SKIL reconditioned sets I purchased for my husband. It works well for home use. He uses the drill often, and the flashlight at work as needed. He had a SKIL drill before and didn't really like it due to it's battery. But this set had the new battery design that so far seems to keep a charge well. I would recommend this set for anyone needing a drill around the home.

I purchased this reconditioned set for my husband. He uses it when needed on his job and mostly at home. It works fine, and have had no issues with them. He had an older SKIL drill that he was not impressed with, but this set has the newer battery style and seems to work well. I would recommend this set to anyone who is looking for a set around the house.

I bought that so called "Factory reconditioned" expecting the unexpected. The drill is a pce of grap, the end of the silver came loose and the drill power is drilling withing its own>Cannot even drill a simple task. On the other hand I was Amazed at the Reciprocating Saw... I have several skil tool and I was so ashamed of having to ackn that the worse of the worse is supposed to be their best tool. It seems that the tool was not even looked at, just put in a box and expecting the customer not to notice it. Come on>It is a return for a reason...Just trash it of sell the parts away.I have never bought a reconditioned tool before and what a "scandal." I will be returning it for a replacement and hope for the best. If the replacement is the same, I will just go to my mega store and buy one.

I was looking for a replacement for my dying cordless screwdriver and this seemed a good buy at an inexpensive price. For something like this, I am not too scared to buy reconditioned. However, I recommend you read the product descriptions very closely. In the description from the manufacturer, it said a 34-piece bit set was included. However, in the description from the seller it omitted that description. Not really realizing the difference, I ordered the unit. It came quickly and is about what I expected. However, no 34-piece bit set. Instead, just two little 1/4 inch screw driver tips. It was a good price, very cheap, but missing some items which would have made it much more useful.

The tool does not come in the original Skil packaging that you will find with a new tool. This is a vanilla Skil box with the word "RECONDITIONED" printed on the box several times. It only included the tool, charger, a limited user manual in several languages and a couple of rusting bits. Unlike a new package, nor as listed by Amazon, it did not include the set of several bits, the bit holder that sits on the charger, nor a carrying case. The tool arrived with the charge drained.

There seems to be 3 IXO versions, IXO, IXO2, IXO3. IXO3 has a rubber front boot around the driver that removes for the included right angle drive attachment. It includes a full set of bits that store in the charger. IXO has a metal front, no LED light. IXO2, this model, has the LED with metal front (won't work with right angle drive). This item also comes with only two bits, although the charger could hold a full set (like the IXO3). Perhaps an artifact of its refurbishment.



I have a new IXO3 and this item, a refurb IXO2. Both work equally well. Bought the refurb to have a charged unit onhand given the 5 hour charging period and to save money.

The tool does not come in the original Skil packaging that you will find with a new tool. This is a vanilla Skil box with the word "RECONDITIONED" printed on the box several times. It only included the tool, charger, a limited user manual in several languages and a couple of rusting bits. Unlike a new package, nor as listed by Amazon, it did not include the set of several bits, the bit holder that sits on the charger, nor a carrying case. The tool arrived with the charge drained.

There seems to be 3 IXO versions, IXO, IXO2, IXO3. IXO3 has a rubber front boot around the driver that removes for the included right angle drive attachment. It includes a full set of bits that store in the charger. IXO has a metal front, no LED light. IXO2, this model, has the LED with metal front (won't work with right angle drive). This item also comes with only two bits, although the charger could hold a full set (like the IXO3). Perhaps an artifact of its refurbishment.



I have a new IXO3 and this item, a refurb IXO2. Both work equally well. Bought the refurb to have a charged unit onhand given the 5 hour charging period and to save money.

I bought that so called "Factory reconditioned" expecting the unexpected. The drill is a pce of grap, the end of the silver came loose and the drill power is drilling withing its own>Cannot even drill a simple task. On the other hand I was Amazed at the Reciprocating Saw... I have several skil tool and I was so ashamed of having to ackn that the worse of the worse is supposed to be their best tool. It seems that the tool was not even looked at, just put in a box and expecting the customer not to notice it. Come on>It is a return for a reason...Just trash it of sell the parts away.I have never bought a reconditioned tool before and what a "scandal." I will be returning it for a replacement and hope for the best. If the replacement is the same, I will just go to my mega store and buy one.
